Eleven Months Pop-Up Restaurant

June 20, 2017 by Undeniably Rachael

I’m still relatively new to the Richmond food scene but I am having so much fun discovering all the wonderful restaurants Richmond has to offer! On my latest adventure through Cary Town, I ended up eating at a pop-up restaurant called Eleven Months.

“Eleven Months is a home for rotating restaurant bar concepts. The thinking behind Eleven Months is that there are a lot of fun and weird ideas for restaurant bars that just aren’t meant to last. We’ve all been to those places that overstay their welcome which isn’t a good time for anyone.

Eleven Months is an attempt to address this fundamental problem by continuously rotating new themes in the same space. When the time feels right, we will shut our doors and change out the concept and corresponding decor, complete with new food and drink menus.  A new restaurant will open in it’s place and the clock will be reset. This process will repeat itself every time we (and our customers) feel the time is right to change things up.

To keep ourselves honest, eleven months is the maximum timeframe for any given theme.” – (Taken directly from Eleven Month’s Website).

I absolutely loved it!!!!!!!! I’m excited to see a restaurant that isn’t afraid to offer food different than “the norm.” And by “the norm” I mean- pizza, burger, pasta etc. Instead, the menu offers a variety of flavors ranging from Spanish to Mediterranean to Moroccan and more!

I ordered the chicken tarragon salad sandwich with avocado, plum ginger jam, crispy chicken skin and dandelion with a side of their jicama fries that came with lime, cayenne, and mulatto pepper mayo. However, I seriously want to try everything on their menu! I’m intrigued by the Fattoush Salad, Croquetas de Arroz, Chicken Escabeche, and the Mediterranean Tuna Sammie.

I love the concept behind the restaurant, the menu, food, and the wonderful staff working there. I highly recommend eating here before the eleven months are up! 🙂
